Purported iPhone SE 3 images appear online but are likely fake

An undisclosed source has released some images of the yet-to-be-released iPhone SE 3 which are slightly off the iPhone SE design. The images, if authentic, provide the strongest indication that it's not too far removed from the current iPhone SE model design-wise.

The source of the images revealed the details to John Prosser of FrontPage Tech and can be seen on the Genius Bar podcast. Although the quality of the images was restricted as Prosser displayed them from his iPad, we could see a clear resemblance to the iPhone SE. These are the first real-life images of the iPhone SE 3, although we cannot officially say that these images were authentic. The iPhone SE 3 is a budget smartphone with some exciting functionalities that we have come to know of the Apple brand.

Apple will update some of the new iPhone SE 3's internal components to differentiate them from its predecessor. It comes with a 4.7-inch display, Touch ID button and thick bezels. Likely to be powered by the A15 Bionic chipset, the iPhone SE 3 will offer 5G connectivity and will not have flagship capabilities, partly due to the prices. The camera setup of iPhone SE 3 also gives better output than iPhone SE 2020.

Apple iPhone SE 3 could be part of the lineup of devices that will be showcased at the upcoming Apple event in a few months. The Apple Spring unveiling event could include the iPad Pro 22, iPad Air 5 and possibly an iMac model. The Apple iPhone 14 lineup is already scheduled for a 2022 unveiling. A lot of details are still lacking for the iPhone SE 3, including pricing information and global availability. These details will start to emerge as we get closer to the final unveiling of the iPhone SE 3.
